According to itypeusa, China is located in East Asia and covers an area of 9.6 million square kilometers, making it the world’s third-largest country. It is bordered by fourteen countries, including Russia, Mongolia, India, Pakistan and North Korea. Beijing is the capital city of China and its official language is Chinese. The population of China stands at approximately 1.4 billion people, making it the most populous country in the world. The Chinese economy is one of the largest in the world and has seen a rapid growth over recent years due to its focus on manufacturing and exports. It has become a global leader in technology and innovation and has become increasingly attractive to foreign investors due to its competitive business environment. The Chinese currency is the Renminbi (RMB) which is divided into 10 jiao or 100 fen. China has a long history that dates back thousands of years and it has been home to many dynasties throughout this time period such as the Zhou dynasty (1046 BCE – 256 BCE). It also boasts some of the most impressive architectural structures in the world such as The Great Wall of China which was built during the Ming dynasty (1368 – 1644). In addition, there are numerous cultural attractions such as temples, palaces, gardens and museums which attract tourists from all around the globe. China also offers visitors an array of natural landscapes ranging from lush subtropical forests to deserts, mountains and glaciers. Its diverse wildlife includes giant pandas which are native to southwestern China as well as a variety of birds, reptiles and mammals that inhabit its many national parks across the country. China is located in the China Standard Time Zone (UTC+8). During Daylight Saving Time (DST), clocks are moved forward one hour to UTC+9. DST begins on the first Sunday of April and ends on the third Sunday of October each year. In addition to observing Daylight Saving Time along with other parts of East Asia, China also observes certain holidays with special times or exceptions to its standard time zone. For example, on Chinese New Year all clocks are moved forward by one hour for an additional hour of daylight savings time. On National Day (the day celebrating the founding of the People’s Republic of China), all clocks are moved back by two hours so that people can attend celebrations earlier at night; this is known as “Chinese Miracle” or “Little China” in some parts of the country. The China also shares its time zone with other countries such as Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau. This means that people living in these countries will experience the same time as those living in China during DST, but may observe different holidays with different times or exceptions to their standard time zone. Overall, China follows the Chinese Standard Time Zone and observes Daylight Saving Time along with other parts of East Asia. It also has certain holidays where clocks are moved forward or backward for an additional hour so that people can attend celebrations earlier at night.
