According to itypeusa, Zambia is a landlocked country located in the south-central region of Africa and has a total land area of 752,618 square kilometers. Zambia is bordered by Tanzania to the northeast, Malawi to the east, Mozambique to the southeast, Zimbabwe and Botswana to the south, Namibia to the southwest, Angola to the west and Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) to the northwest. As per July 2019 estimates, Zambia has a population of around 17 million people. The capital and largest city of Zambia is Lusaka which is located in the southern part of the country. Zambia has varied geography ranging from dense rainforests in its western regions to high plateaus in its central region as well as long stretches of coastline along both its Indian Ocean and Atlantic Ocean shores. The climate of Zambia is tropical with hot temperatures throughout most months of the year. Rainfall is frequent throughout all seasons but can be more abundant during wet season which runs from November to April each year. Zambia has a long history with strong influences from both Bantu settlers who arrived in the region during ancient times as well as tribal peoples who lived there prior to colonization. It also has many unique customs such as its traditional music which includes instruments such as drums and mbiras as well as dance styles such as bwalo which are popular activities throughout much of the country each year. Furthermore, Zambia also boasts some stunning views including Victoria Falls which attract tourists from all over the world each year for its natural beauty and grandeur. Zambia is a country located in the southeastern part of Africa and has one time zone. The official time zone of Zambia is known as the Central Africa Time Zone (UTC+02:00) and is 2 hours ahead of Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). This time zone is observed in all parts of the country, which includes Lusaka, Ndola, Kitwe, Livingstone and many more. During Daylight Saving Time (DST), Zambia does not observe DST and hence its clock remains unchanged at UTC+02:00. This makes Zambia one of the few countries in Africa that does not observe DST. Due to its location between East and West Africa, some people refer to this time zone as Central African Time or CAT Zone instead of Zambia Time or ZATZ.
