It also has many unique customs such as its traditional music which includes instruments such as slit gongs, bamboo flutes and drums as well as dance styles such as sand drawing which are popular activities throughout much of the country. Vanuatu is a group of islands located in the South Pacific Ocean and has one time zone. The official time zone of Vanuatu is known as the Vanuatu Time Zone (UTC+11:00) and is 11 hours ahead of Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). This time zone is observed in all of the 83 islands that make up the archipelago, namely, Espiritu Santo, Malakula, Ambrym, Epi, Aneityum, Erromango and many more. During Daylight Saving Time (DST), Vanuatu shifts its clock by one hour ahead from UTC+11:00 to UTC+12:00. DST is observed from late October to late March each year and brings an additional hour of daylight during this period. During this time period all islands of Vanuatu observe the same time zone i.e., UTC+12:00 which is 12 hours ahead of UTC.
