According to itypeusa, Algeria is a country located in North Africa, bordered by Tunisia, Libya, Niger, Mali, Mauritania and Morocco. It is the largest country on the continent of Africa and has an area of over 2.4 million square kilometers. Algeria has a population of over 40 million people with the majority of its population residing in urban cities such as Algiers, Oran and Constantine. The official language spoken in Algeria is Arabic but French is widely used for business and government purposes. The terrain in Algeria is mostly mountainous with large areas of desert occupying much of the northern region. Agriculture plays an important role in the economy with wheat, barley, oats, olives and dates being some of the main crops grown here. Livestock such as sheep and goats are also important for rural communities while there are large deposits of oil and natural gas located throughout the country. The capital city of Algiers has a population of over 3 million while other major cities include Oran, Annaba and Constantine. Education is highly valued in Algerian society with around 5% of GDP spent on education each year; however literacy levels remain low due to limited resources available to schools across the country. Healthcare services have improved significantly since 2000 thanks to increased investment into the sector by international donors; however healthcare remains largely inaccessible for many rural communities due to lack of resources available to them. Additionally since 2000 there has been a significant investment from international donors into rebuilding infrastructure across Algeria which has led to improved access roads throughout much of the country as well as increased access to clean water for many rural areas through new water systems installed by international organizations like UNICEF. Algeria is a member of the United Nations, Arab League and African Union with many Algerians taking part in the country’s democratic process though it remains largely autocratic in nature due to its military-backed government. The economy has been growing steadily since 2000 though it remains largely dependent on oil exports; however efforts have been made recently to diversify its economy in order to reduce reliance on oil exports and increase foreign investment into other sectors such as tourism and manufacturing which could open up new opportunities for growth within Algeria’s economy going forward. Overall Algeria is an emerging nation with much potential for growth if it can continue down this path towards economic diversification in order to reduce reliance on oil exports while also increasing foreign investment into other sectors that could open up new opportunities for growth within its economy going forward. Algeria is located in the North African region and has a longitude of 3°E, which places the country in the Western European Time Zone (WET). This time zone is one hour ahead of Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) and two hours ahead of Central European Time (CET). This means that when it is 12 noon on GMT, it is 1 PM in Algeria. The daylight savings time in Algeria follows the same pattern as most countries around the world, with clocks being moved forward by one hour during summer months. The months when daylight savings time applies to Algeria are April through October. During these months, people living in Algeria set their clocks one hour ahead of WET to take advantage of more daylight hours during summer months. This means that when it is 12 noon on GMT, it is 2 PM during daylight savings time in Algeria. Setting clocks an hour ahead also allows for more evening activities such as outdoor events and sports activities to be enjoyed by Algerian citizens. In order to adjust to different international time zones, Algerians often use a combination of digital and analog clocks which can be adjusted accordingly. The use of digital clocks allows for quick adjustment between different time zones while analog clocks are used for easier readability in areas with limited access to electricity or digital devices. It’s important for Algerians to be aware of international time zones so they can better coordinate with people from other countries who may have different schedules than Algerians do. Algeria Education

Training The education system in Algeria is based on French, and prior to release all formal education was conducted in the French language. Many older people read French but not Arabic. Since the release, extensive Arabization campaigns have been carried out, i.e. through the introduction of an Arabic-language elementary school and the abolition of the private (often Catholic) schools in the 1970s and 1980s. However, there have been strong student protests that the Arabization program has gone too slowly. So,…
