According to itypeusa, Albania is a small country located in the Western Balkans of Europe, bordered by Montenegro, Kosovo and the Republic of Macedonia. The population is estimated to be around 2.8 million people with Albanians making up around 90% of the population. The official language is Albanian but there are also many other languages spoken in Albania, including Greek and Macedonian. The climate in Albania is Mediterranean along the coast and continental in the interior, with hot summers and cold winters. The terrain of Albania is mostly mountainous with small plains located in the northern region and along its coast. Agriculture is an important part of Albania’s economy with tobacco, fruit, vegetables and olives being some of its main crops. Livestock such as sheep, goats and cattle are also important for rural communities. Minerals such as chromite, copper, nickel and gold can be found throughout Albania as well. The capital city of Tirana has a population of over 700 thousand people while other major cities include Durres, Elbasan, Shkodër and Vlorë. Education is highly valued in Albanian society with around 10% of GDP spent on education each year; however literacy levels remain low due to limited resources available to schools across the country. Healthcare services have improved significantly since 2000 thanks to increased investment into the sector by international donors; however healthcare remains largely inaccessible for many rural communities due to lack of resources available to them. Additionally since 2000 there has been a significant investment from international donors into rebuilding infrastructure across Albania which has led to improved access roads throughout much of the country as well as increased access to clean water for many rural areas through new water systems installed by international organizations like UNICEF. Albania is a member of the United Nations, NATO and the European Union, with many Albanians taking part in the country’s democratic process. The economy has been growing steadily since 2000 and is expected to continue to do so in the coming years as Albania continues to open up to foreign investment and increase its trade ties with other countries. Overall Albania is an emerging nation, with much potential for growth in the future. Albania is located in the Eastern European region and has a longitude of 20°E, which places the country in the Central European Time Zone (CET). This time zone is two hours ahead of Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) and one hour ahead of Eastern European Time (EET). This means that when it is 12 noon on GMT, it is 2 PM in Albania. The daylight savings time in Albania follows the same pattern as most countries around the world, with clocks being moved forward by one hour during summer months. The months when daylight savings time applies to Albania are March through October. During these months, people living in Albania set their clocks one hour ahead of CET to take advantage of more daylight hours during summer months. This means that when it is 12 noon on GMT, it is 3 PM during daylight savings time in Albania. Setting clocks an hour ahead also allows for more evening activities such as outdoor events and sports activities to be enjoyed by Albanian citizens. In order to adjust to different international time zones, Albanians often use a combination of digital and analog clocks which can be adjusted accordingly. The use of digital clocks allows for quick adjustment between different time zones while analog clocks are used for easier readability in areas with limited access to electricity or digital devices. It’s important for Albanians to be aware of international time zones so they can better coordinate with people from other countries who may have different schedules than Albanians do.
