Iowa is home to some of the best higher education institutions in the country. From its state universities to its private colleges, Iowa offers a wide range of education and learning opportunities. The University of Iowa, Iowa State University, and the University of Northern Iowa are all top-ranked public universities with nationally recognized programs in engineering, business, healthcare, and more. In addition to these state universities, there are also several private colleges and universities located throughout the state. Some of the most well-known include Drake University in Des Moines and Graceland University in Lamoni. These private colleges offer a variety of degree programs in areas such as business, law, education, art & design, and more. Furthermore, many community colleges provide students with an affordable option for earning their associates degrees or completing certificate programs. According to COUNTRYAAH, Iowa is a beautiful state full of interesting and diverse counties. There are 99 counties in Iowa, each offering unique attractions and experiences. Out of these 99 counties, there are three that stand out as being particularly special.

One of the top three counties in Iowa is Johnson County. This county is home to the city of Iowa City, which is the only UNESCO City of Literature in the United States. As a result, Johnson County has a vibrant literary culture that can be seen in its numerous bookstores, literary festivals, and other activities related to literature. Additionally, Johnson County has many outdoor activities to enjoy such as hiking trails at Lake Macbride State Park or canoeing down the Iowa River.

Another one of the top three counties in Iowa is Polk County. This county is home to Des Moines, which is the capital city of Iowa and an important business center for the Midwest region. In addition to its vibrant business culture, Polk County also has many cultural attractions such as The Science Center of Des Moines or The Des Moines Art Center. There are also many outdoor activities like camping at Saylorville Lake or fishing on the Des Moines River that can be enjoyed here too!

Lastly, Scott County rounds out our list of top three counties in Iowa. Located along the Mississippi River just west of Davenport and Bettendorf, Scott County offers an abundance of outdoor recreation opportunities such as biking trails along Credit Island Park or kayaking down Duck Creek. The county also features some great historical sites such as Village of East Davenport or Wapsipinicon Mill Museum that provide visitors with insight into local history and culture.

The University of Iowa’s Tippie College of Business is one of the top business schools in Iowa. Located in Iowa City, this school offers a variety of undergraduate and graduate degree programs.
