One of the top three counties in Iowa is Johnson County. This county is home to the city of Iowa City, which is the only UNESCO City of Literature in the United States. As a result, Johnson County has a vibrant literary culture that can be seen in its numerous bookstores, literary festivals, and other activities related to literature. Additionally, Johnson County has many outdoor activities to enjoy such as hiking trails at Lake Macbride State Park or canoeing down the Iowa River.
Another one of the top three counties in Iowa is Polk County. This county is home to Des Moines, which is the capital city of Iowa and an important business center for the Midwest region.
