
Higher Education in Hawaii
Hawaii is home to numerous higher education institutions, both public and private. The University of Hawaii System is the largest higher education provider in the state, with 10 campuses across the islands. These include: UH Manoa, UH Hilo, UH West Oahu, Hawaii Community College, Honolulu Community College, Kauai Community College, Maui College and Windward Community College. Additionally, there are seven independent universities in Hawaii. These include Chaminade University of Honolulu and Brigham Young University-Hawaii in Laie. Private schools such as Pacific Rim Christian University in Honolulu and Wayland Baptist University-Hawaii Campus in Kahului provide students with a range of degree programs.
