Training
The previously neglected teaching system is subject to
expansion. The school duty is twelve years and starts at the
age of 5. The primary school is six years old and is
reviewed by almost all children. Students from different
ethnic groups have different kinds of schools. 12% of the
adult population is illiterate. Check topschoolsintheusa for test centers of ACT, SAT, and GRE as well high schools in the country of Brunei.

A university, founded in 1985, is located in the capital.
In addition, there are schools for teacher training and
technical education. Many students apply to the UK for
higher education.
Bandar Seri Begawan
Bandar Seri Begawan, the capital of Brunei on the north coast of Borneo;
296,500 in the urban area (2010). The city is located on a river outlet in the
Gulf of Brunei and was previously an important trading town, but is now
primarily the administrative center and residence town of the Sultan. About half
the residents live in the more than 400-year-old Kampong Ayer, the water
village, a collection of smaller villages of wooden houses built on piles by the
river banks.
Some of the country's oil revenues have been used to provide the area with
modern facilities (electricity, water, health clinics and schools), but there is
no sewer system. Just south of the city is the Sultan's Palace. The Sultan of
Brunei is considered to be the world's richest man, and the 1,800-room palace,
completed in 1984, is the largest and probably the most expensive ever built.
