Read here why and how you can save with LED lights energy costs and reduce office costs.
Whether you work in an office or from home – good lighting is always beneficial. Especially in the dark winter days, in bad weather or when your working day starts before sunrise, you can work much better in a well-lit room. Sufficient light in a healthy light color also reduces eyestrain. How does your office provide a progressive way with efficient bulbs?
LED bulbs: an energy-saving alternative
Since abolition of 100W bulb demand grows louder for alternative bulbs. The fact that conventional incandescent lamps represent a constant cost factor due to wear and increasing energy costs has meant that searched for other solutions. A particularly successful development in this context is the LED bulbs.
What should make the adoption of LEDs for your office interesting are the high energy efficiency and long service life of these lamps.
LED bulbs: energy efficiency
The efficient use of the supplied electricity is derived primarily from the fact that with LEDs the power is almost completely converted into pure light. A mere 10% is lost as heat radiation. Normal light bulbs produce apart from the wavelengths of the visible spectrum and infrared and ultraviolet radiation. Thus, up to 90% of the energy is not radiated as light.
What this can mean for you, it is clear, if you replace a trial basis, a 60-watt bulb with a LED bulb. A LED bulb with GU10 socket emits a brightness of about 800 lumens usually. A comparable LED requires just 12 watts for the same brightness. Thus, the light emitting diode has already caught up with the energy-saving lamp, yes, there have been tests in which a perfect set LED has an equal saving bulb in energy consumption even undercut.
This is only true on LED lamps that shine with the typical for them cold white light of 3000 Kelvin. If a light-emitting diode tuned to healthier, warm white light is produced of 2800 Kelvin, the efficiency drops. However, you can save as much electricity still 3-4 times with LEDs that have been set in this way, compared to conventional bulbs.
LED bulbs: long life
Another advantage of LEDs is their long life. Unlike normal light bulbs, an LED lamp does not happen on the morning broke, but gradually loses its brightness, but the light color remains unchanged. therefore manufacturers give as operating time to the time taken by a light emitting diode, to lose half its brightness. It could be measured in experiments already durabilities of up to 100,000 hours. If you start from a daily use of 2 hours, your LEDs would thus keep whole 150 years. Real World Experience in this respect are not yet available.
LED bulbs: power saving
As you can see, the new lamps a lot of ways to save power. This also benefits the environment. The more LEDs are used, the less electricity has to be generated, what it conserves natural resources.
The long shelf life even less light bulbs need to be produced, which in turn saves energy. In addition, fewer bulbs must be disposed of and the landing but in the garbage, do not contain toxic substances such as mercury or lighting gases.
But you also have a personal benefit when converting to LEDs. The fossil fuels are running out, and although alternative solutions already be sought, is to be expected rising electricity prices. Have you decided to save through the use of light-emitting diode current, which relieves your running costs and you need only rarely in new light bulbs to invest.
Thanks to intensive research, the LED lights can already be considered as mature and could thus soon become the standard product. So if you already converted to LEDs, prove progressive thinking and can also save a lot of money and power.
