It lto fishing is one of the activities most antiguasdel man as a social species. Moreover, it was a major factor that defined the development of skills that helped lay the groundwork for the rise of civilizations. The proteinay fatty acid from fish played a momentous role in the increase in brain capacity and thus social and intellectual man. The fishing has been focused since the beginning of time in obtaining protein for the family support. The fisheries have been so noble that, for a long time, they have allowed man to harvest without returning anything to change.
Fortunately, this aspect is changing and increasingly greater interest and concern to properly manage fish stocks; However, the knowledge we have about this is still insufficient, and is necessary to generate much more information that can support the efforts for the conservation and sustainable management of the species.
Sport fishing emerged recently as a recreational activity and leisure, offering a contact – lost as a result of the industrialisation of societies and migration to urban centres large – with the natural environment and to appreciate first-hand the importance and relevance of the nature for our well-being. As such, fishing is an activity that we back to our origins as a species and it has become a way to return to purely human activities, now from a point of view, aware of the natural environment and our position as a dominant species on the planet. It is fishing, in my opinion, an indicator of advanced societies, in the same way as is respect for the animal rights and equality and tolerance for human diversity.
An advanced society which recognizes the rights and freedoms of each and every one of its members equally,
It is also aware of the importance of low-impact activities that leave a smaller “footprint” in the wild. It is for this reason that sport fishing, to be product of the progress of societies, is also as an inalienable right to enjoy – responsible for-of natural resources. And it is precisely under this approach to sustainable, responsible and sustainable fisheries that emerge or emerge new forms that had not been performed but lesser in the past. One of these forms is precisely the kayak fishing, which is one of the oldest forms of fishing that exist. Since the beginnings of navigation was recognized to small boats as the ideal means to achieve catches in places little suitable for larger boats, or where the purpose was not to obtain large volumes of catch.Kayaks for wooden frame covered with sealskin, invented by the Inuit tribes, are familiar to many and iconic to these peoples as a contribution to universal culture. These ships were designed for rapid transport, hunting and fishing during the summer in the Arctic circle. They were fast, maneuverable and light ships to be loaded easily from one place to another. In recent times, these boats have been upgraded for navigation recreational and, subsequently, adapted for sport fishing. And it is precisely this one of the ways that offers a greater enjoyment of sport fishing and a greater enjoyment of leisure time. In addition to offering a much closer contact with the water, which gives us a more intimate approach to nature, the kayak fishing allows us to enable us physically, with the added benefit of not emit any polluting. Does not require practically maintenance, they are inexpensive, they can be stored easily, don’t need a trailer to move, and in addition allow access to places that can not be reached by boat or land (areas covered with submerged vegetation, or sinuous channels in vegetation closed as species or mangroves, for example). Of these vessels stealth makes them suitable for shots at very close range. Because of this, the kayak fishing is a means to achieve fish at sites that have not been previously caught, and this means an advantage particularly when sensitive species seek to fishing pressure. Also, increasingly, in the natural wetlands (Lakes and rivers) is is prohibiting the use of motorboats, as a way of protection of these environments, which allows the use of kayaks to practice fishing in these places, that otherwise would be impossible. The idea that kayaks are craft simple, used to not be able to access to a motorized vessel is common. However, this is far from the reality. Modern kayaks are equipped with advanced technology in the design of forms, spaces and materials to offer the best performance. There are specialized kayaks to provide
a greater maneuverability, while others are for greater speed, and some others to provide greater stability for fishing stand, or to have a high load capacity. There are both open and closed, simple kayaks as double that offer multiple possibilities for different types of fishing. Ponds, marshes, rivers, lakes, dams, coastal lagoons, beaches or open sea, there is no any water that might not be caught from a kayak. From small species to pelagic species are the object of the sport fishing kayak, and increasingly more species previously not thought possible to capture
from kayaking, are still popular and accomplished around the world. And precisely these issues, equipment and techniques, we will be exploring in future articles in this magazine. I started from an early age fisheries as do many of us in family outings and friends, fishing to the good of God, or as my spouse, with my logical ranchera, as God gave me to understand and what little we could get that fishing shops then.
The trolling out to where we basically lanzábamos or troleábamos and hoped to catch something. And we did, were so good populations of fish that we almost always had much success. To pass the time, it was slightly increasing expertise. And I say a little because, to be honest, we always fished in the same way and had no way of documenting us to learn more. Fortunately, now with access to the information over the internet, I could document a little more and learn new techniques. And so I kept fishing. It was only about eight years ago when I started to use kayaks, to monitor populations of waterfowl, and
awoke my curiosity to use them for fishing.
The first time I decided to upload my cane to a kayak, the first thing I wondered was, why not I thought of before?, seemed so logical to use the kayak as a fishing tool. He had used kayaks for research for a couple of years but never for fishing. It is enough to tell that when I captured my first bass from a kayak I was on and I’ve never looked back. Of course, I’m still practicing fishing from boat, but to a much lesser extent. Now almost all the time I fish from kayak, and I’ve never been happier. My circle of close friends already converted them all kayakers, and I have witnessed an explosion in the use of kayak for fishing, both in the United States and our country. The kayak has given me many satisfactions in fishing, which is my hobby and my Vice. I feel more connected with the environment in which pesco, I can observe wildlife, am independent to the points that I want to explore, and has allowed me to break several times my personal records. My kind of choice is the largemouth bass. And fortunately I have near reservoirs and natural wetlands that allow me to practice your fishing with some frequency. The kayak has given me more confidence as a fisherman, since each capture is a major challenge, every fight they fight different, each release is different, each paddling in water chopped, each fight against the wind and each wave which enters the kayak, reminds me of where I am and put all my senses on alert. The feeling of fishing at the water level is really incomparable. With all my heart, I wish you at some point in their life of fishermen have a screenshot from kayak so they will experience this sensation that will not experience any other way. They will live a whole new facet of sport fishing, that connects them immediately to the natural elements, the wind, water, flora and fauna, and at the same time will be aware of your own individuality. It is without doubt, a trip in the first row to our human origins. I wish join me in this journey will start from the kayak, and that since these pages can slightly feel that emotion that I will try to
convey, so that soon, very soon, ourselves in the water.
