There are many recipes of soups and broths, but none like the true chicken. This typical recipe, is a dish very easy to prepare and prepared especially for comfort in cold days and can help to reduce symptoms of colds and gastrointestinal problems, because it is light, nutritious, and keeps the body hydrated.

– Ingredients –

  • 1 chicken-whole (kids are optional)
  • Water to taste (minimum 2 litres)
  • Salt q. b.
  • 1 small carrot
  • 1 onion
  • 4 mint leaves
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 3 to 4 cups of pasta or 3 rice
  • Salt q. b.
  • Pepper q. b.
  • Cloves of India
  • 2 yolks of hard-boiled eggs

– Mode of preparation –

  1. Place a pan on the stove with water, chicken, kids (if you want), a little bit of clove from India spitted in the onion and the clove of garlic. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Let it boil for about 20 minutes until the meat is cooked.
  2. When the chicken is cooked remove the skins, the bones and shred. Then, in the broth, add pasta or rice and let it cook.
  3. After almost cook the pasta or rice, and add the shredded meat, the carrot and the egg yolks broken. Let it cook for another 5 to 6 minutes.
  4. Remove it from the heat and serve with a folhinhas mint.
