910XT – Garmin Forerunner GPS Multi Sport Watch with Swimming Functions

Garmin is revolutionizing the market for heart rate monitor and continue driving innovation: the latest highlight of the family of the legendary forerunner GPS sport watches is the multisport computer forerunner 910XT. Based on the predecessor equally popular with triathletes and walk, not only slimmer comes the new “910er”, but trumps with a barometric altimeter and new swimming functions. Thanks to a built-in accelerometer, the forerunner 910XT automatically determines the stroke, the swum route or the beat number. And not only outside but even indoor!

Get in the water, out of the water up to the wheel, get off the wheel off in the running shoes. Triathlon makes very special demands – not only the athletes, but also on their equipment. The new forerunner 910XT there is a perfect training and competition partner.

The “910er” is the first GPS multi sport computer that measures not only speed, distance and heart rate via satellite and stores together with the route, but also boasts a variety of specific swimming functions . And not only in the open air, but also in the indoor pool!

An integrated acceleration sensor (G-sensor) determines when swimming among other things:

  • Stroke (indoor)
  • Speed/pace
  • Swum distance
  • Swum railways (indoor)
  • Blow number (total, average, indoor: last train)
  • Shock frequency
  • Train distance (+ average and indoor: last train)
  • SWOLF efficiency score (number of beats + time per track or on open water time at 25 m) in the cut and last train
  • Course (open water)

“There already before swimming watches with similar features, with the 910er, but we bring GPS, heart rate monitor, Watt measurement and analysis of swimming under a hat. For the first time, it is possible to identify specific training data with the same clock in all three disciplines of Triathlon. The ALLROUNDER is a real sensation! “, enthusiastically Wolfgang Doleschel, product manager sports & fitness at Garmin Germany.

In addition to the swimming capabilities, on vaultedwatches, the forerunner 910XT is the first GPS sports watch from Garmin with an barometric altimeter. Walk allows not only a still more detailed height profile, but also determine the exact and descent meters. The training effect reveals the athlete at a glance the training intensity and effectiveness. With a battery life of approximately 20 hours he makes even triathlons or extended Trailruns thanks to vibrate and stay always up to date – no matter whether in the water or on dry land.

The new forerunner 910XT is waterproof – natural to a depth of 50 meters. The wetsuit slides well across comparatively slim casing that pleasantly adapts itself to it’s wrist and not too much is up. Of course also the forerunner fit 910XT on the Garmin Triathlon quick change holder and – like the previous – is compatible with ANT + Leistungsmesssystemen, such as the also brand-new Watts mess-pedal Garmin vector.
